Taking it slow.They were broken  She was bruised and he was used.  
They walked together  No eye contact, no holding hands.  And if their shadows overlapped  She apologized.   
They were confined  She was anxious and he acted brave.  Both of them were sort of afraid.  The sun rose high and their shadows danced.  Her face turned red at this act of romance.   
They were together  Her bruises healed and he was less jaded.  He learned how to touch her, she reciprocated.  The leaves turned colors  And their shadows grew distant.  She felt the urge to apologize.    Taking it slow.

The Endless Trailer Park."Hey, this is John, he's going to sit with us."  That abrupt introduction years ago changed everything. She very well could have - or should have - ended up in a different class than him.  
But no, she ended up there with John who was quickly introduced to her by Frank.  Now, Alex had known Frank for a few years by now so she trusted his judgement in people.  
And perhaps John was an okay guy for a few years.  
 
He was the first guy she considered a 'best friend'. He was the first guy she told everything.

Paranoia.Footsteps thud down below and whenever they speed up past their usual tempo I panic. Why are people moving faster downstairs? Why are they running and what happened? Is everyone okay? They stop. Is someone disposing of a body? Are they cleaning up the mess they made when they hacked each other apart? Why are they moving again? Why are they going so fast? Wait, a new sound. Why is my sister awake? I think she’s laughing, though it could be crying. Why is she crying? Did her boyfriend dump her? Is she contemplating suicide now? Oh God, what if she kills herself? Will I be responsible?  
 
What was that sound downstairs? What just Paranoia.

Mom, you were wrong.

A long time ago my mom told me that she thought my bsexuality was just a phase, and if I ever kissed a girl it would feel wrong.

Sorry, mom, you were wrong. It hasn't felt wrong yet.

Anyways. My best friend of 10 years got married. It's bizarre. We're both 19 and I can't even fathom being married at this age. I still have a lot of crazy in my system to work out. I couldn't settle yet.

In fact, I have a lot of guys interested and the funny this is how they all want committment and I don't. Go figure.

This is a sparse and random update, and I swear I'll post something more informative later.

Oh, if all goes well I will be a nursing student by next fall. Cross your fingers, kids.
